Assignment patrol Discretion To me discretion is close tothing that we everlastingly design like in how we get hold of things like a movie to watch food to eat we al directions have to be very discrete in what we choose to do. thither are a lot of people that would think that it would be top hat if discretion was taken away from the police. What most of the people do non realize is that discretion needs to be exercised. Discretion is not the fuss the abuse of discretion by some people is.In this world at that place is always that bad area that has the normal answer to different blots that whitethorn not apply. Having that right to exercise to discretion a police police officer may be able to find the best solution always. In the scenario there was a couple of times were the police officer had to use discretion the first one was when the suspect fell to the ground she could of incisively left field him there and not return to check up on him the next one was when the susp ect started running away she could of just left and let it be.The officer could of just stopped at the struggle and had called for easement but she did not she decided to continue. These are the type of discretions that I un yet in this scenario. In my opinion I think that discretion was not very well implemented because if it was going to be a colossal pursuit and the suspect was going to hurt her she could of easily called for backup immediately, even though she did not know it was going to be hard to nab this suspect the best thing to do was to call for help that way this pip would have been easier and less painful for her.I think that discretion should not be controlled. I think a lot of police officers by using superb judgment they might and they will let some things slide if they are able to. Not in every situation is good it has ups and its downs, police officers should be able to make a good judgment calls on the scene. Arresting someone is not always the best solution for a situation they need to analyze how they could fix the situation with discretion.
